Other towns nearby are Sete, a fishing town, which also has beautiful beaches. Agde, a river town, Cap d’Agde, (known as Petit Tropez), famous for its large marina and the tennis tournaments.

Ryanair & Easyjet fly to the nearest Airport of Beziers, Montpellier, Nimes and further South west, Carcassonne & Perpignan. Cars may be rented from the airport but its best if you book in advance on the net.


The Region of Languedoc has so many interesting places to visit. Beziers is close to the coast and the beach. Inland lie the mountains and lakes of the ‘Haute Languedoc Regional Park’ to the north and the wild Corbières to the south, both wonderful for exploring and walking.

Beziers also has an excellent Golf Course and for those who are looking for an active holiday, there is river canoeing, fishing, and wind-surfing on salt-water lakes.

Vias Plage is the nearest village and this is facing the Mediterranean sea. The beach is walking distance, passing by a number of restaurants, bakeries and little shops selling clothes, ornaments etc.


Two hundred yards back up the main road into the site is the Canal du Midi where it’s great for a bike ride. (you can rent bikes on the site). Just beyond the Canal is the village of Vias, again with many small restaurants.

As far as shopping for food is concerned, there is a small market shop on site. Larger superstores are nearby at Agde (Hyper-U) and Bessan (Intermache). Walking distance away is the village of Vias. Every Wednesday you can visit a superb market selling fresh foods (olives, meats, excellent cheeses), household items and clothes etc. Around the village are superb bars and restaurants.
